DOUBLE BLOODROOT
(Sanguinaria canadensis forma multiplex)

This is an exotic looking perennial with lobed leaves. It grows about 15 inches tall and produces pure white blooms in the spring. It a double-flower type, reminiscent of a water lily. The blooms are fleeting; as they finish, the leaves unfurl into a pleasing clump. Prefers partial shade. The plant gets it name from the red sap it produces when cut at the stem or rhizome. Plant divisions will be 5-7 rhizomes.

Dierama
ANGEL'S FISHING ROD
(Dierama pulcherrimum)

This plant produces a fountain effect in the garden. Strappy leaves emerge from the corms and are graced with long thin stems arching over the clump. The bell shaped blossoms open along each 5-7 foot stem and provide a long season of interest. Corms need a year to be well established before bloom starts and should remain undisturbed for the most spectacular display. This variety has lavender/violet blooms. Plants divisions will consist of 3 blooming-sized corms.
