	MADRONA HILL    'INTERNAL CLOCK' (Enriquez) height 43", bloom 4.5", season M, SEv, Diploid    Internal Clock is a lovely lavender bi-tone; the form is unusual in its presentation. The throat area is deep and the petals rise up then flare out flat. On warmer days, the petals reflex back giving the blooms an even more unique look. The eye pattern carries through to the sepals and dark veining adds to the visual interest. What is not captured in the photo is the 'silky' look the flowers impart - a bit of cool respite in the summer garden. Excellent plant habit.	$20
	MADRONA HILL    'ON THE CATWALK' (Enriquez) height 36", bloom 6.5", season M, Dormant, Diploid    On The Catwalk has lucious rich violet color with a darker eye offset by a vibrant gold throat. Sepals have a contrasting white edge. Like a super model on the runway, the elegant, spatulate blooms strut well above the foliage and give the appearance of dancing on air.	$20

Seedling evaluation takes several years to fully accomplish. A plant will typically take two to three years to produce a bloom when grown from seed here in Portland. In my garden, the blooms are observed for another two to three years before being selected to move from the seedling bed to the 'grown-ups table' in the main garden. There, the plants have ample space for me to take note of the foliage habit to make sure the plant is worthy of a garden name.

At the moment, it is not my intention to register my plants with the 'Mother Ship', the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS). The purpose of registering daylilies with the AHS is to ensure a unique name is attributed to a plant. I accomplish that unique relationship by naming plants with either an 'Arbor Lodge' (tetraploid) or 'Madrona Hill' (diploid) prefix.
